When she was presented with a major life challenge – raising children with ADHD – she did not stand still. She sought support and help, and when she did not find it, she created it. While there are support systems in place for children, parents are often left to fend for themselves as they figure out how to navigate life with ADHD/ADD. Elaine blended her coaching experience with her parenting need and co-created ImpactADHD, a groundbreaking resource for parents like her – and you.

Elaine is a professional certified coach, parent coach, writer, educator, speaker, entrepreneur, and mother. She channels these diverse experiences into her work with ImpactADHD. With co-founder Diane Dempster, she works to provide parents with the tools, training, and coaching they need to empower and support their complicated, quirky, unique, wonderful kids.
Before co-founding ImpactADHD, Elaine launched Touchstone Coaching, a leadership, executive, and personal coaching practice which she operates with her husband, David Taylor-Klaus. Pioneering the Touchstone Method – Focus, Clarity, Action –they help clients cut through distractions and develop effective strategies for change and growth. Elaine’s keen insight and ability to see multiple perspectives is complemented unwavering respect and compassion for people of all ages.Living her life and guiding her career by the tenant, “When there is a need, fill it,” Elaine has done this through numerous social and community initiatives, including:
- Founding one of the largest political action committees in Georgia.
- Establishing a Breakfast Club to facilitate effective communication between mothers and daughters.
- Funding a Speakers Series to support caregivers and service providers of children with special needs.
- Working with the NYC Commission on the Status of Women, Planned Parenthood Federation of American, and on the Governor’s Council for Maternal and Infant Health for the state of Georgia.
- Teaching couples labor and delivery classes and pregnancy and postpartum yoga classes.
Empowering people to make good decisions, develop effective strategies, and act with intention and compassion is at the heart of Elaine’s personal and professional endeavors. Elaine is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a CORO Fellow in New York City. She has completed CTI’s Co-Active Leadership Program, an industry leader in coach training, and is certified by the Coach Training Institute and the International Coach Federation. Elaine lives in Atlanta with her family and enjoys reading, watching movies, hiking, Pilates, yoga, and baking. She likes to keep busy, so you’ll rarely catch her sitting still, but will usually find her actively engaged and loving life with her family!
